Held at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts, with a host committee of over 30 Las Vegas cultural and political leaders, the awards will honor community pioneers who have dedicated their time and work in the public service, culture, and corporate sectors particularly for the betterment of the Latino community in Nevada.
Our Las Vegas honorees are U.S. Senators Harry Reid and Dean Heller, Tony Sanchez on behalf of NV Energy, and Nevada State Attorney General, Catherine Cortez Masto, will receive the award on behalf of her father and Las Vegas visionary, Manuel J. Cortez. Chris Saldaña, anchor and reporter for Fox 5 Las Vegas will be the master of ceremonies.
The first of the American Latino Influencer Awards took place at Rice University in Houston earlier this year, and the series will go on to Miami, FL. The Las Vegas event will highlight the incredible contributions of the Latino community in important American cities that are the reason we need a National American Latino Museum to honor these contributions on a national scale.
