Advocacy Week 2025

Friends of the American Latino Museum led an advocacy week on Capitol Hill to rally support for the urgent passage of the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Latino Act. We were proud to stand alongside our national partners, including The Latino Coalition, U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, U.S. Hispanic Business Council, LULAC, UnidosUS, NALEO, ALPFA, and members of our dedicated board of directors.

A heartfelt thank you to Senators Bernie Moreno, Ted Cruz, Catherine Cortez Masto, Ben Ray Lujan, as well as Representatives Nicole Malliotakis, Joaquin Castro, among many others for meeting with us and for reinforcing their commitment to honoring U.S. Latino history on the National Mall.

Our bipartisan coalition only continues to grow across Capitol Hill and beyond. American history as told across our National Mall is not complete without the 500 years of history that would be presented by the National Museum of the American Latino.

Together, we will make the National Museum of the American Latino a reality. We won’t stop until we #BuildItOnTheMall
