It is with both regret and respect for your well being that we inform you that all of our scheduled programming at SXSW is cancelled.

As you may have seen, the City of Austin and the SXSW Conference organizers have cancelled the March dates for the festival. While we regret the missed opportunity to host critical conversations about the Latino community, we are following the direction of the City of Austin and SXSW’s lead to protect the health and safety of our speakers, guests, and partners. In turn,  we are pulling all scheduled programming.

To learn more about this decision, we encourage you to read the official statement from SXSW.

We extend our gratitude to each of our panelists that had committed their time to this event, as well as our sponsors, NBCUniversal Telemundo and the UCLA Latino Policy & Politics Initiative, that made this possible. Most importantly, a huge thank you to each and every one of you for your interest and continued support in our work.

Stay tuned for additional programming and additional opportunities to celebrate the achievements of our community throughout 2020. While we are sad to miss you in Austin, it will not slow our momentum to achieve a permanent home on the National Mall to celebrate the American Latino community.

Stay safe. Stay healthy. See you soon.
