With a strong leadership background that spans governmental, corporate and nonprofit arenas, Naomi Rodriguez draws on a wealth of experience in communications strategy, with special emphases on market and competitive analysis for short- and long-range business development, media campaigning, community outreach and image development. Ms. Rodriguez is a highly driven, forward-thinking and consummate professional, with a talent for building strategic partnerships that drive revenue and advance company missions beyond their original scope. She leads and motivates her teams with a clear, unique and enthusiastic vision.
Ms. Rodriguez currently serves as Director of Marketing and Communications for Los Angeles Universal Preschool (LAUP), a nonprofit that provides quality preschool to nearly 11,000 four-year-old children in LA County each year. Some of her additional roles include: Senior Manager of Marketing (Hispanic & International Segments) for DIRECTV, Inc.; Assistant Deputy Mayor for former Los Angeles Mayor James Hahn; and Director of Community Affairs for the Los Angeles Consulate General of Israel.
She received her BA in Communications from California State University, Long Beach, and is a fellow of Harvard’s NHLI Executive Program. Ms. Rodriguez lives in Southern California with her two daughters and teaches at Santa Monica College through the Workforce & Economic Development Department.
