Naomi K. Rodriguez is currently a Public Relations & Marketing Senior Manager for DIRECTV, Inc., the nation's leading satellite entertainment provider. Naomi interacts with the press daily and her portfolio consists of developing press and marketing communication plans for DIRECTV’s international and Spanish-Language programming.

Prior to Mrs. Rodriguez’s tenure at DIRECTV, the Mayor of Los Angeles appointed Naomi as the Deputy Director of Protocol. In this capacity, Naomi served as the City’s official liaison with the Diplomatic Corps and facilitated development of international business and diplomatic relationships between the City of Los Angeles and the international community. In 2003, Mayor Hahn promoted Mrs. Rodriguez to Assistant Deputy Mayor. In this capacity, Naomi served as liaison between the Mayor’s Office and the L.A. County Government and many educational and cultural organizations. She made history by overseeing and establishing one of the Mayor’s newest projects, the Office of Immigrant Affairs. Mrs. Rodriguez brings to her position more than 12 years of experience in government, public service, and community relations.

As a former staff member for State Senator Gloria Romero, Mrs. Rodriguez represented her within the community at all levels of government, including official meetings, events and community collaborative. Under the Clinton Administration, Mrs. Rodriguez served as an assistant to Katherine Sandoval, the first Latina Rhodes Scholar and then Director of Communications Business Opportunities at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

Mrs. Rodriguez holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Political Science. Mrs. Rodriguez also studied International Politics abroad at Nottingham Trent University in England. Naomi is a graduate of Harvard’s Executive Program at the John F. Kennedy School of Government and the National Hispana Leadership Institute’s Executive Leadership Program. Mrs. Rodriguez has served on the National Board of Directors for the YWCA of the USA. Naomi currently volunteers for the East Los Angeles Women’s Center, a non-profit organization that advocates for raped and battered women.
