WASHINGTON, D.C.- The Friends of the American Latino Museum (FRIENDS) announced the finalists of its third annual Campaign Design Contest and opened the public voting that will determine the contest winner. The winning design will be the featured image of FRIENDS' national campaign in 2014, and the winning artist will receive a trip to Washington, D.C. for an unveiling ceremony along with national exposure for their work, and an important role in the historic campaign to build a National American Latino Museum in our nation's capital.

The 2014 Campaign Design Contest finalists are:
• Caron Bowman of West Palm Beach, FL
• Chet Slater of Boise, ID
• Alejandro Martinez of Santa Rosa, CA
• Saul Villegas of Hanford, CA
• Karyn Jimenez-Elliott of Portsmouth, RI
• Zuleyra M. Pérez of Moca, PR

"Once again, we were overwhelmed by the response from our supporters to this contest that has become a highlight of our yearly programs," said Estuardo Rodriguez, executive director of FRIENDS. "The talent and vision of our community is impressive, and selecting just six finalists was a great challenge. The artistic ability on display underlines the need for a museum that chronicles the cultural and historical impact of the Hispanic community on our nation."
